Calling all Leicestershire Rotarians
Hosts Required!
The Organising Committee need to secure around 150 beds for the weekend of 25th and 27th of September 2009 to host the Ambassadorial Scholars attending the Link Weekend in Leicester.
They will be excellent young Ambassadors of their nation.
If you are a Rotarian living in the Leicestershire area, please help Rotary International District 1070 deliver its promise in characteristic style and Register your interest in hosting with Rtn David Brown (Wreake Valley) as soon as possible!
You will find that being a Host will be a rewarding experience. Your duties are outlined below.
Outline of Hosts Duties
(A Full Brief will be provided nearer the date)
Friday 25th
- Pick Up Scholar from Devonshire Place (Freemason's Hall), London Road, Leicester (Timetabled)
- Allow Scholar to acclimatize
- Provide evening meal and home hospitality
Saturday 26th
Morning
- Take your Scholar sight-seeing or shopping (e.g. for mobile phone)
- Provide lunch
Afternoon & Evening
- At 1.45 pm Deliver to National Space Science Centre, Leicester
- At 6.00 pm Meal & Barn Dance at Leicester University
[The Meal & Dance is optional for Hosts at a nominal cost]
- At 10.30 pm Pick up Scholar from Leicester University & return home
Sunday 27th
Morning
- Provide Packed Lunch
- At 9.15 am deliver Scholar (with bags) to Freemason's Hall, Leicester
NOTES:
- It is possible for Scholars to share a room but not beds
- It may be possible for Clubs to group up and use, say community mini-buses, to ease transport requirements to and from towns such as Market Harborough, Lutterworth & Ashby
